PASSIONE GELATO
Head Gelatiera and co-owner of Passione Gelato, Ele Cercatore, trained under Maestro Gelataio Massimiliano Scotti who was named the best gelato-maker in all of Europe at the 2017 Gelato Festival in Florence. Passione Gelato carries on the tradition of making the finest Italian gelato here in Berkeley California. One of the most important things to make real gelato is having access to daily fresh local organic ingredients. Lucky for Passione, Northern California is similar to Italy in this regard. Here we find an abundance of the right sort of ingredients for crafting the best possible gelato. Passione Gelato sticks to favorite Italian flavors such as tiramisu and pistachio as well as branching out with more adventurous California inspired flavors like, on of our favorites, pineapple jalapeno. We also craft several vegan (dairy and egg free) sorbetto’s like dark chocolate and espresso.
